Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai offers 64 elegantly appointed pavilions, each with a private covered veranda, and 16 magnificent residences and 12 One Bedroom Pool Villa. All are furnished in a style consistent with a luxurious northern Thai home and fitted with all modern conveniences. Spectacular landscaping and tropical gardens surround the Resort’s Garden View, Mountain View and Rice Terrace View Pavilions. Housed in two-story dwellings in clusters of four, they feature high ceilings, polished teak floors, a bedroom with its own sitting area and a private outdoor Thai “sala,” perfect for taking in the exotic surroundings.
Savour the unique flavours of northern and vegetarian Thai specialties at Sala Mae Rim, renowned for its sumptuous Thai and Western cuisine. Located beside the Resort’s main swimming pool, Terraces offers a stunning open air setting with an expansive view of the surrounding rice paddies and the distant Doi Suthep mountain range. Terraces features international cuisine inspired by the region’sabundant natural produce and showcases sensational dishes from Asia and beyond. The Elephant Bar is the perfect place to watch the sun set as you relax on the terrace under large Thai umbrellas with charming elephant stands; and Terraces Bar is an ideal place to enjoy a light meal during lunch or signature refreshments before dinner at Terraces.
The ultimate in indulgence, The Spa is a palatial three-storey villa designed in the ancient “Lanna” style of northern Thai temples. The Spa offers treatment suites for couples or individuals, with private changing and shower facilities. The 20-metre (66-foot) infinity-edge swimming pool offers a beautiful view of the Mae Rim Valley across picturesque rice terraces. The Health Club features state-of-the-art exercise equipment, separate saunas for men and women, a unisex Thai herbal steam room, a heated outdoor whirlpool and a cold plunge pool. The Tennis Club offers two floodlit tennis courts and a Peter Burwash International (PBI) resident professional for private coaching. Golf is available nearby.
The cooking school introduces guests, both novice and experienced cooks, to the art of Thai cuisine. Designed by the Resort’s culinary team, the programme offers guests a hands-on learning experience. Optional activities offered by the school include fruit and vegetable carving classes and a morning excursion to a local Chiang Mai market, where a symphony of aromas from locally grown exotic fruits and spices, as well as prepared foods, will surely awaken one’s senses.
