Day 3: Bethany & the Dead Sea | Miraculous Waters
This morning, set off for Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Continue to the Dead Sea for a dip in its restorative waters, famous since the days of Herod the Great. Continue to Petra.

Day 4: Petra | Rose-Red City
Explore Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site sculpted from mountains. Meander through the baths, markets, Treasury, Temple of the Winged Lions, Corinthian Tomb and Palace Tomb alongside your expert guide.

Day 5: Wadi Rum | Valley of the Moon
Travel to Wadi Rum to explore the rose-tinted mountains where Lawrence of Arabia once lived with his Bedouin allies. After lunch, visit Madaba and the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continue on to Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land.

Day 6: Amman to Cairo | Pyramids of Giza
Fly to Cairo where you Ride Like a Local on camel back and visit the Giza Plateau, site of the legendary Pyramids of Mycerinus, Chefren and the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Step inside of one of these monuments and explore its passageways and corridors. Visit the Solar Boat Museum, where you find the 142-foot-long funerary barge of Cheops.

Day 7: Abu Simbel | Temples of Ramses II & Nefertari
Fly to Abu Simbel to view the two temples built during the reign of Ramses II. Both are among Egypt’s most beautiful, with the larger Great Temple of Ra-Harakhte, fronted by statues of Ramses II, and the Temple of Hathor dedicated to his queen, Nefertari. Next, visit Aswan and the granite quarries where the Unfinished Obelisk lies. Later, board Sanctuary ,˜Sun Boat IV’.

Day 8: Cruising the Nile | Kom Ombo & Edfu
This morning, ride in a motorboat to the island of Agilika, site of the Temple of Philae. Back on board your deluxe Nile cruiser, sail to Kom Ombo, built at a bend in the Nile where crocodiles basked in the sun. Visit the Greco-Roman temple, with one side dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and the other to Haroeris (the sun god). See several crocodile mummies on display. Back on board, participate in a Chef ‘s Table cooking lesson alongside your chef. Cruise to Edfu to the Temple of Horus. Tonight, attend an Egyptian-themed costume party with a lavish buffet, music and dance.

Day 9: Cruising the Nile | Luxor & the Valley of the Kings
Today you cruise to Luxor, where you find the Temple of Karnak. Explore Luxor’s west bank, home to the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest. Step inside the tomb of Tutankhamun and look upon the pharaoh himself. See the Temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female pharaoh. Later, gather for a farewell dinner and belly dancing performance.

Day 10: Cairo | Sakkara & Memphis / Depart
This morning, disembark ,˜Sun Boat IV, and fly to Cairo. Travel to Memphis, capital of a once-splendid ancient kingdom, where the 18th-Dynasty Alabaster Sphinx and the statue of Ramses II still remain. Later, discover the numerous tombs of Sakkara, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser. At your hotel, enjoy excellent views of the pyramids from your room before your flight home.
