Mizoram

This state is one of the Seven Sister States of India located in the north eastern region, and Mizoram is bordering Bangladesh and Burma. Its Capital City is Aizawl. The climate is mild and nice during the summer and seldom freezes in the winters. There is heavy monsoon rain from May to September.

This state has some of the most scenic beauty in India with lush mountainous terrain loaded with numerous species of colorful flowers. There are lots of rivers and lakes here. Tamdil Lake is a favorite tourism attraction. India is trying to open this state to the visiting tourists because of it natural beauty. There are wild elephants living here and hundreds of species of exotic birds.

Visiting here is not that easy and facilities for tourists are limited. A seasoned guide is necessary.
