Kleinburg

The McMichael Gallery on Islington Avenue in the town of Kleinburg is also just a half hour’s drive from downtown Toronto. Rustically set in the woods, the McMichael Gallery houses the McMichael Canadian Art Collection which is made up of the haunting landscapes of Canada’s famous Group of Seven and a good variety of Native and Inuit art.

Near Kleinburg is the Kortright Centre for Conservation, an educational, environmental facility in the middle of the woods, once again. Perfect for hiking or just to observe the interesting exhibits and demonstrations, it’s on Pine Valley Drive.
