Le Mas Candille

Located in the medieval village of Mougins, approximately seven kilometres from Cannes and on the famous Côte d’Azur, Le Mas Candille is perfect for guests wishing to enjoy the Croisette and the coast from a more peaceful vantage point.  Imaginatively transformed from its origins as an 18th century ‘Mas’ (or farmhouse), the hotel nestles quietly on the hillside above Cannes within 40,000 square metres of terraced Provencal parkland, surrounded by mature cypress trees and old olive groves, with mesmerising views across the valley towards the Pre-Alps.

Le Mas Candille has 46 rooms, including 39 double rooms and 7 suites.  Two of the rooms are also equipped to suit the needs of guests with disabilities. Each guest room is an individually, classically styled creation. Flair and imagination have been used to produce an interior design of sublime luxury that is sympathetic to the history of Le Mas Candille and its Provencal heritage, but also incorporatescontemporary elements.  Guestroom amenities include air-conditioning, remote control television (including news, movies and sports channels), DVD and CD player, two direct dial phones with voice mail, Wi-Fi internet connection, hair dryer, bathrobes, mini bar and in-room safe.  From the private balconies and terraces, guests can gaze out onto the old village of Mougins or towards the Pre-Alp mountains and the ever-changing landscape.

Rooms in the original Mas Candille have an average size of 25 square metres, whilst rooms in La Bastide have an average size of 38 square metres. Each room has a separate bathroom and 31 rooms have private balconies or terraces looking out onto the Pre-Alps or up towards the historic village of Mougins.

In July 2009, six new contemporary suites were added to Le Mas Candille. These new suites are located in a new extension, La Villa, just below Le Mas Candille’s main terrace. La Villa offers magnificent mountain views and a superb planted roof top. The new suites introduce a more contemporary interior design as well as larger and brighter living space including a spacious lounge, large bathrooms, state-of-the-art technology, floor-to-ceiling windows and large private terraces. All suites have individual heating and air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, two flat-screen TVs, an iPod docking station, Nespresso coffee machine and a walk-in closet.

Le Mas Candille serves a diverse menu of dining experiences ranging from the gastronomic delights of the Michelin-starred Restaurant Candille, where guests can eat “al fresco” beneath the dappled shade of the orangery or within the sumptuous surroundings of the dining room, to the informality of the Restaurant La Pergola and the Bar du Mas with its stunning views. Guests may also dine in the privacy of their own room or suite.

A variety of treatments are available at the Shiseido Spa, which offers a unique spa experience. Located in its own landscaped gardens, within a private area of the hotel’s 40,000 square metres of secluded grounds, the purpose-designed ‘Zen’-style spa with a soothing environment will offer a wonderful selection of face and body treatments based on an oriental philosophy using Shiseido’s unique Qi Method and exceptional product range.
