Day 1 – Seville:
Welcome to the wonderful city of Seville, site of the Giralda, a Moorish Fortress, the Roman walls of the Macarena District, the old Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz and more. Pick up your car upon arrival, your Welcome Packet is at your hotel, and includes a map of Andalucia, driving directions between the cities you will be visiting with suggestions for interesting visits throughout your trip. Day 2 – Seville:
After breakfast, you can see and visit the sights of Seville with your included city tour, and then in the evening you have reservations for a traditional Flamenco show. (Breakfast, Accommodations)
Arrive on your own for your Seville City Hop-on, Hop off Sightseeing Tour at Torre del Oro to experience the historical masterpiece that is Seville with its Islamic monuments, gardens, flamenco festivals, Museum of Fine Arts, medieval Jewish quarter and more. The basic tour takes 70 minutes, however, you can Hop on and Hop off for a full 24 hours. (Live commentary in English)
Please arrive on your own for your 8:30 p.m. reservation in the Barrio del Arenal for your Flamenco Show. (Includes one beverage per person)
Day 3 – Seville to Cordoba:
After breakfast, depart Seville for Cordoba. In the historic city of Cordoba you can visit the Cathedral Mosque, declared part of the World Heritage of Humanity, the Jewish neighborhood, and the Patios Street with the courtyards full of flowers. (Breakfast, Seville hotel; Accommodations, Cordoba)
Day 4 – Cordoba to Granada:
After breakfast, drive to Granada. Here you can visit the impressive Alhambra Palace and the magnificent Generalife,™s Gardens. (Breakfast, Cordoba hotel; Accommodations Granada)
Day 5 – Granada:
After breakfast at your hotel, depart at your leisure for your Granada sightseeing tour. (Breakfast; Granada Hop-on, Hop-off Tour, accommodations)
Granada City Sightseeing Tour Meet your open-top double-decker bus either at the Palacio de Congresos or the Alhambra between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Buses depart every 20 minutes, tour lasts 90 minutes, how ever, you can hop on and hop off at a number of locations. Commentary is pre-recorded in English. Points of interest: Acera del Darron, Alhambra, Palacio de Congresos, Parque de las Ciencias, Museo Federico G’Lorca, Arabial, Campus Universitatio, Plaza de Toros and more. Redeem your voucher on the tour bus for a ticket valid for 24 hours.
Day 6 – Granada to Malaga:
Enjoy breakfast. Today,™s drive will take you to Malaga, the birthplace of Pablo Picasso. Spend the next two days enjoying this capital town of the Costa del Sol. (Breakfast, Granada, accommodations, Malaga)
Day 7 – Malaga:
Founded by the Phoenicians in about 1000 B.C., the name Malaka, is Phoenician for salt,. Later, when the city was controlled by the Moors, Malaga was a major trade center in the Mediterranean before being re-conquered by the Spanish in 1487. Because of this remarkable 3,000 years of history, there is much to see and do in Malaga. (Breakfast, accommodations)
Day 8 – Malaga to Home or your next destination:
Drop off car at Malaga airport or rail station to either return home or add on and continue your Avanti Destinations adventure.
