Departures to Machu Picchu: 

PeruRail includes the Urubamba Station for two of its three tourist trains: Autovagon 601 and Vistadome 304*. For those who are staying in the Sacred Valley and have planned a trip to Machu Picchu, this will make it easier to reach that archeological site.  

Tambo del Inka is the only hotel with an onsite train station but tourists staying at other hotels in the area may enter through the hotel’s second door (located Northwest from the main door). PeruRail has also a ticket office on site, which is opened from 6 A.M. to 10 A.M. and from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Station facilities include a platform, and access stairs/ramp.  

The official schedule for the Urubamba Station is:

Autovagon – #601: departs Tambo del Inka at 7 A.M., arrives Ollantaytambo at 8:15 A.M. and Aguas Calientes at 10:06 A.M.

Vistadome – #304: departs Aguas Calientes at 3:20 P.M., arrives Ollantaytambo at 5:28 P.M. and Tambo del Inka at 6:45 P.M.

*Passengers who have bought tickets to board the Autovagon 601 or Vistadome 304 at Ollantaytambo but wish to board at Tambo del Inka, or vice versa, may do so after showing their ticket.
