Day 1 – Arrive Vienna:
Arrive in Vienna and check in to your hotel for 3 nights (Private optional transfers available). You,™ll discover a Vienna of many facets, combining old and new world, galleries and museums, stylish shops, bistros and cafés, and more. (Accommodation, Vienna)

Day 2 – Vienna:
After your breakfast, you are scheduled for a city tour with hotel pick up. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore or relax as you choose. (Breakfast & accommodation, Vienna)

Historical City Tour with Schonbrunn – Your tour begins at 9:4 a.m. with hotel pick up 30-45 minutes prior in your hotel lobby. On your tour you see the Ringstrasse, the State Opera House, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Natural History, the Hofburg, residence of Empress Elizabeth, (known as ‘Sisi’ in Austria), the Parliament, City Hall, the Burgtheater, the University and the Votive Church. The highlight of your tour is a visit to Schonbrunn Palace (pictured left). Tour ends at the State Opera building, lasts 3½ hours.

Day 3 – Vienna:
Your last full day in Vienna gives you options. You may wish to go shopping in this cosmopolitan city this morning. A good third day excursion to consider is Vienna Woods Mayerling Seegrotte. This four-hour tour visits the Vienna Woods, the Roman City of Baden, the Mayerling hunting lodge, past the Holdrichsmuhle where Franz Schubert composed “The Linden Tree” to Seegrotte. After a boat ride on the largest subterranean lake in Europe, you return to Vienna past Liechtenstein Castle. (Ends at State Opera House. Operates daily at 9:30 a.m. or 2:45.p.m., lasts four hours.)

Your dinner tonight with 8:00 p.m. reservations is at the Royal Piaristenkeller Restaurant. Dinner menu consists Viennese dishes, 1/4 liter of wine and wine cellar visit with glass of sparkling wine. Founded in 1697 by Piarist monks as a tavern and wine cellar, recently renovated to resemble the tavern with centuries-old vaulted ceilings, this restaurant serves traditional Austrian specialties based on original recipes ,“ including some of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s favorites. (Please present your voucher before ordering, gratuities not included.)

Day 4 – Vienna to Salzburg:
After breakfast today, you travel to Salzburg with reservations for your four hour trip, so you can sit back, relax and watch the scenery pass on your way to the birthplace of Mozart. Optional private rail station transfers in Vienna and Salzburg are available. (Breakfast, Vienna; accommodations, Salzburg)

Day 5 – Salzburg:
After breakfast you have full use of your 48 Hour Salzburg card to explore the Sound of Music, city at your leisure, then in the evening, dine at a fine Salzburg restaurant. (Breakfast, dinner & accommodations, Salzburg)

48 hour Salzburg Card – Gives you unlimited use of Salzburg’s public transport system plus free admission to 27 attractions and museums, and discounts on other attractions. Includes the Cable-car Untersberg, Catacombs of St. Peter, the Hellbrunn Palace and Fountains, Mozart’s Residence, both Museums of Modern Art, a cruise aboard the Amadeus Salzburg (April through mid-October) and more. (Your Salzburg Card will be at your hotel reception desk upon your arrival.)

Arrive on your own for dinner at 8:00 p.m. at the K+K Restaurant am Waagplatz. Located a medieval era townhouse, you,™ll experience some of the very best of Austrian and international cuisine and one of the most exquisite wine cellars in the city. (Please present your voucher before ordering, drinks and gratuities not included.)

Day 6 – Salzburg:
You have the option to book a tour for today. (Breakfast & accommodation, Salzburg)

Day 7 – Salzburg to Munich:
After breakfast, make your way to the train station for transportation to Munich. Optional private Vienna or Salzburg rail station transfers are available. (Breakfast, Salzburg; accommodations, Munich.)

Day 8 – Munich:
After breakfast, you have vouchers for a Hop-on, Hop-off, city tour you can use to explore this marvelous city. (Breakfast & accommodations, Munich)

Munich City Sightseeing – Circle Line Tour Arrive on your own across the street from the central rail station to check in for your tour between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily. Double decker buses depart every thirty minutes during summer months (hourly September – April). Best of all, you can leave or rejoin the tour at the Haupbahnhof, Karlsplatz, Marienplatz, Opera, and Odeonsplatz. (Redeem your voucher on the bus at any stop.)

Tonight you have 7:00 p.m. dinner reservations at the Restaurant Ratskeller located below the town hall at Marienplatz 8. Arrive on your own to enjoy a menu of : Starter – pancake soup ~ Main dish choice of pot roast, chicken breast or vegetarian ~ Dessert – apple fritters with walnut ice cream. (Beverages & gratuities not included ~ please present your voucher before ordering.)

Day 9 – Munich:
Today you might book an optional tour outside the city. One of the most visited sites near Munich is Neuschwanstein Castle in Fussen, built by King Ludwig II and inspiration for Cinderellals castle at Disneyland. (Breakfast & accommodations, Munich)
