Calafate

The small, southern town of El Calafate is one of the most scenic places in South America. This city surrounded by several unbelievably huge glaciers, and one stands out among them.

The Perito Moreno Glacier is located fifty miles away from El Calafate and is a great place for tourists. For a small park entrance fee, visitors can spend the whole day watching and listening to enormous walls of ice crashing into the water below, which is an unforgettable experience. There are a number of other gigantic glaciers for you to see around El Calafate, and most of them are located in the National Park Los Glaciares.
