Fireweed Station Inn

Fireweed Station Inn is a deluxe Alaskan accommodation. The log building was originally built in 1946 as a remote hunting and fishing lodge accessible only by the Alaska Railroad. Alaska has only some 300 National Historic Register sites. We are proud to be among them – so proud we took a decade to renovate every corner of this old inn.

Located only minutes from Talkeetna, but this setting feels as remote as it did in 1946. Tranquility is their hallmark – and they take great care to ensure your stay is restful, but punctuated with the world-class adventure the area has to offer. Whether you are here to climb Mt. McKinley, float the renowned Talkeetna River, fish for salmon or trout, or just enjoy Alaskan forest solitude, you’ll remember Fireweed Station as a highlight of your trip to Alaska.

You can have a fulfilling, authentic Alaskan experience without ever leaving the premises of Fireweed Station! Both indoors and out, we will see to it that you stay entertained and well-fed!
