Meghalaya

Meghalaya is a tiny state in the eastern region of India, next to Bangaladesh on the Shillong Plateau. The weather here is much cooler than other parts of India. This area gets a lot of rain between June and October.

There is a small airport here but it has only a few flights. Most arrive by roads. There are no railroads here.

There are a lot of great museums to visit in this state, beautiful waterfalls, art galleries, a cathedral, picturesque parks, lakes, and a great golf course.

Visiting here can be very challenging so a seasoned guide is necessary.
