Day 2: Athens
In the company of your private guide, explore the complex of monuments that is the icon of Athens the Acropolis. See the Parthenon, one of the most important ancient monuments in the Western world, and the new Acropolis museum. You may also be able to see the changing of the guard in Constitution Square. Afterward, walk through the ancient Plaka district, one of the most picturesque and interesting parts of the city. This afternoon, wander through the Benaki Museum to view a fascinating display of eclectic Greek and Oriental art. On the way, drive past the Panathenaic Stadium, a marble masterpiece. If you prefer, ask your guide to take you to Lycabettus Hill instead of the museum. Board a funicular to the top of the hill where you also find the little chapel of St. George and a theater.

Day 3: Cape Sounion
You are at leisure until this afternoon when you head out along the scenic coast to Cape Sounion. Visit the ancient ruined Temple of Poseidon, believed to date from the fifth century BC. The temple enjoys an impressive position high on the cliffs and is one of the best spots in Greece to watch the often impressive sunset.
