Departs: January/February and June through September are the best times. DAYS 1 3 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda Your flight arrives in Entebbe, Uganda. On arrival, you connect straight away onto your onward charter flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. When you land, your guide will be waiting to transfer you to your lodge. Bwindi Lodge is strategically situated overlooking the primeval Bwindi Forest, which is home to many gorilla, chimpanzee, monkey, and birds. This comfortable and eco-friendly lodge is the perfect place to experience the magic of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On the morning of your second day, you will join a Gorilla Trekking party to explore the jungle and attempt to observe these magnificent creatures. Bwindi Lodge Includes: All meals & safari activities DAYS 4 & 5 Ngamba Island, Uganda After breakfast you meet a charter flight back to Entebbe. On arrival, you’ll meet your driver and transfer via road to Lake Victoria. From here you take a short speed boat ride across the lake to Ngamba Island Tented Camp. Ngamba Island is a Jane Goodall Institute sanctuary for orphaned chimpanzees. One hundred acres of rainforest situated 23 km from Entebbe, near the equator in Lake Victoria, Uganda. It supports a rich diversity of natural wildlife and provides a variety of natural foods for the chimpanzees. The island is set up as an eco-friendly project with compost toilets, rainwater collection, proper waste management practices and solar energy (for electricity and hot water). An optional activity here is a Forest Walk with baby chimpanzees (please inquire about specific vaccinations and health requirements). This activity will continue until the chimps become too big to handle. Ngamba Island Tented Camp Includes: All meals & safari activities DAY 6 Depart After breakfast, you take the speed boat transfer back across Lake Victoria. On arrival, your driver will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport to meet your departure flight.
