The Experience
Meadowood Napa Valley Resort
Settled on a private estate, Meadowood is a center of social, cultural and viticultural life in Napa Valley and a second home for those who enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the wine country.
Eighty-five cottages, suites and lodges, nestled into the forested hillside of our beautiful valley, provide serenity and privacy. Terraces offer ideal settings for quiet contemplation or intimate meals. In your room, look for a thick robe and a cozy reading corner. Open a bottle of our local sparkling wine and enjoy a classic film. Then, at day’s end, relish the luxury of fresh, crisp linens and fluffy down comforters. Some of our rooms feature wood-burning fireplaces and french doors opening onto the private terrace.
Dining facilities include the Michelin 3 star dining room, The Restaurant at Meadowood. Our culinary showplace featuring California SineCountry Cuisine and one of the most comprehensive lists of Napa Valley wines in the world; The Grill, for casual dining, offers delicious meals throughout the day inspired by the market’s freshest ingredients; 24-hour private dining; gourmet country picnics; and The Pool Terrace Cafe, a small al fresco dining terrace adjacent to the Lap Pool.
Recreational facilities include two world-class championship croquet lawns, a sculpted, tree-lined golf course, seven immaculately maintained plexi-pave hard tennis courts, a 25-yard heated Lap Pool, a Family Pool and whirlpool, bicycling, running and hiking. The Health Spa at Meadowood is an environment dedicated to overall health and wellness. For the ultimate in personal pampering, indulgeyourself with soothing skincare, body treatments and massage therapies. Daily fitness classes, personal trainers and private yoga instructors are available as well.
Our resident wine educator is available for guided excursions, private tastings and help choosing the best food and wine pairings.
For more than 45 years, Meadowood Napa Valley has been the destination of choice for wine connoisseurs and foodies visiting this renowned region. Set on 250 acres, the estate exudes graciousness, starting in the 85 guestrooms, suites and cottages, most with wood-burning fireplaces, and continuing with the fine dining in The Restaurant at Meadowood, awarded three Michelin stars.
When you’re not out exploring local vineyards, take time to discover the on-site tennis courts, nine-hole golf course with new golf performance studio, hiking trails, championship croquet lawns and full-service spa. The staff is happy to pack you a gourmet picnic. Golf Course Closure: The Meadowood golf course will be under construction and closed through December 31, 2014 The improvements we are making include the repair and replacement of the existing irrigation and storm drain infrastructure, re-shaping of the greens and sand traps and the removal and replacement of all existing grass species, to be replaced with three drought-tolerant species. We are very excited that these important updates will improve our fairway conditions to make our course playable year-round. As you travel about our estate you will notice that a significant portion of the renovation has been completed. Holes #1 and #9, as well as our practice putting greens have been sodded and seeded and are now in the “Grow-In” stage. Our Golf Studio and Driving range will be open on most days and our Golf staff will be available for private lessons. To check on the availability of the Golf Studio or to have us arrange for you to play nine or 18 holes of golf at a reciprocal golf course, please call Travelwizard.com at 1 415 827 4981 and let us know your preferred day and time. If golf is not on your wish list for this visit, you might enjoy croquet, tennis, fitness class participation or an off-site visit to a winery or a meal at one of Napa Valley’s celebrated restaurants. Just let us know how you’d like to spend your time and we’ll make all the arrangements.
