Lake Austin Spa Resort lies in the heart of Texas Hill Country at the end of a gently winding country road, about 30 minutes from downtown Austin. The final few miles mark a farewell to city lights and daily concerns. The green ribbon of Lake Austin can be seen, and as the road veers into the front gates, the hills of a lush nature preserve are revealed on the opposite shoreline, a green mammoth wall of peace and stillness guarding the shores of Lake Austin.

Guests can choose from 40 Signature or Premier Rooms. Signature Rooms feature sumptuous bedding and large sunlit luxury bathrooms complete with soaking tubs.  These rooms are centrally located at the resort, providing easy access to dining, activities and our boutique. Premier Rooms combine all the luxurious comforts and amenities of our Signature Rooms with many additional enticing delights. Our charming Garden Cottages are ideal for romantic retreats and may include a whirlpool bathtub, fireplace, king-size bed or outdoor private hot tub. (Hot tub charges apply.) Our intimate Garden Suites feature private Japanese meditation gardens while Lakeview Rooms offer the best view of Lake Austin. A refinement in 2008 to the already award-winning rooms added flat-panel TVs, iPod docking stations, artisan crafted afghans, Wi-Fi, original artwork and in-room safes and refrigerators.

The ultimate accommodation is the Lady Bird Suite; this spacious one-bedroom suite is the perfect gathering place, with its luxurious living room, hand-picked antiques, custom-designed beds, Texas limestone fireplace, private outdoor hot tub and wildflower garden.

With five star food, a top rated cooking school and expansive lakeside gardens, Lake Austin Spa Resort is fast becoming the leader in spa cooking programs. The Lake Austin Culinary Experience stars award-winning guest chefs and food experts. Other activities include wine tastings, tours of our working garden and hands-on demonstrations.

Our completely refreshed menu of spa services – more than 100 in all – were developed by our in-house experts.  These customized treatments are drawn from and inspired by our serene natural setting and by the best of the world’s ancient and modern therapeutic techniques.

Resort packages have a 3 night minimum and include accommodations, three gourmet meals daily, and unlimited fitness and activity classes.
