The Widder Hotel

Located in a quiet part of the historic center of Zürich, close to the financial and business district and just around the corner from Bahnhofstrasse, the prestigious shopping mile.

The Hotel is located in the middle of the Augustiner Quarter named after an Augustinian monastery that was built in the 13th century but no longer exists.  The historic townhouses which accommodate the Widder Hotel are national monuments. They were carefully restored between 1990 and 1995.

The Widder Hotel comprises 42 guest rooms and 7 suites, some with their own roof terrace. All rooms are located in eight carefully restored historic buildings.  Each room is fully air-conditioned, amenities include two phonelines, Public Wireless Lan, modem- and fax connection. Furthermore each room has a Bang&Olufsen Flat Screetn TV (more than 40 stations in various languages)and Stereo, Safe, Minibar. A small state of the art gym is available for complimentary use 24m hours a day.

The Widder Restaurant consists of two parts with completely different interiors. The same refined culinary pleasures await you in both settings.  Don’t miss the Wirtschaft Zur Schtund, a popular meeting place where you can enjoy the company of local people in a relaxed pub-like atmosphere.  At the tastefully renovated Widder Bar, you can enjoy live jazz performances.

As of November 21st 2014: Restaurant-Boucherie AuGust,  a trendy and casual brasserie-style restaurant with open kitchen where we serve breakfast lunch and dinner on 365 days a year!
