The Experience
Aitutaki Lagoon Resort in located on a lovely private island, it is the only resort in the Cook Islands with overwater bungalows, with direct access to the lagoon and stunning views across one of the prettiest lagoons in the Cook Islands. Traditional thatched bungalows are positioned beachfront or in the garden, just a short walk to the beach.
DINING
Fresh, innovative cuisine is available at the Flying Boat Beach Bar & Grill, with quintessential island-style sand floor and views across the lagoon or the Bounty Restaurant. Island night is held on certain nights, including a lively show of Cook Islands culture, singing, drumming and dancing. For the ultimate romantic evening, guests can also arrange private candlelit dining overlooking the lagoon.
ACTIVITIES
The property features some of the best beaches on Aitutaki – long swathes of secluded champagne sand beaches encircling the private island resort, lined with elegant coconut palms. This allows for great swimming – unlike other spots, guests can swim at any tide, and snorkel in the Marine Reserve, which surrounds Motu Akitua. Additionally, enjoy the beachfront freshwater swimming pool, with views across the Full Moon Channel. A great place to chill out with a good book and a cool drink.

Spa Polynesia has a range of spa therapies, including pamper packages that combine the healing touch with relaxing aromatherapy massage, facials, body wraps, healing reflexology, manicures and pedicures. HOW TO GET THERE
Flights connect several times daily from Rarotonga to Aitutaki. The property is a 2-minute ride from the main island of Aitutaki by small private ferry, the isle of Motu Akitua is encircled by broad, expansive beaches the color of champagne.
