Napa Valley may be the ultimate grown-up getaway, but when staying at Meadowood for a few weeks during the summer, it can be a wonderful place for the whole family. When school is out, Meadowood’s Children’s Sports Camps are IN! Activities are staged in family areas, leaving other settings exclusively for the relaxed enjoyment of adults.
Children’s Sports Camps
Sports Camps are open to children ages 6 to 11 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to Noon or 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, which includes lunch. A designated staff member escorts children to junior clinics in tennis, golf and croquet concluding with swim fun and fitness. As part of our Summer Family Offer, the Sports Camps are complimentary.
This is a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of our professional sports teaching staff, including Golf Pro Doug Pike, Tennis Pro Doug King, Croquet Pro Mike McDonnell, and Wellness Manager and Fitness Pro Kerry Brackett, who oversees the Sports Camp program at Meadowood.
Adult Time
While the children are engaged in a myriad of sporting activities, the adults are afforded a few luxurious hours on their own to visit local wineries and enjoy a quiet lunch in one of the surrounding towns (St. Helena, Yountville, Calistoga).
Our guest services representatives will gladly call ahead for appointments at favorite wineries, lunch reservations or other activities, such as summer concerts.
If you’d prefer to have a full adult day so you may also enjoy a bit of time in the spa or relaxing by the pool, our guest services staff will be happy to arrange for child care for the later part of the afternoon.
Family Lodges Bring Everyone Together
Creating family memories is a lifelong gift for every generation. Great Rooms in our Hillside and Hillside Terrace Lodges connect one, two, three or four complely self-contained guest rooms for a perfect balance of privacy and togetherness. Each great room features a large, wood burning fireplace, convenience kitchen, separate bath, dining area, sitting area with a pull out sofa, French doors and private deck.
