Arrive in Budapest, Hungary,™s capital city and cultural heart which gracefully straddles the Danube. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you are met by your Guardian Angel and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. The balance of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2: Budapest
This morning meet your local guide and private vehicle for a full day sightseeing tour of the city of Budapest. Start your tour with a visit to the palatial Opera House, built between 1875 and 1884 and painstakingly restored after being severely damaged during the siege of the city in World War II. Continuing on your tour, visit the ornate Synagogue (the largest in Europe) and its Jewish Museum. See the vast Heroes’ Square with its impressive Millennial Monument, view the Crown Jewels in the Parliament Building and visit the market hall to browse the vast array of provisions and craftwares on sale. After lunch on your own, cross over the Chain Bridge to Buda and ascend Castle Hill by funicular, where the former Royal Palace gracefully towers over the Danube. Visit the Matthias Church, which has witnessed the coronation of many Hungarian kings, and enjoy stunning panoramas of the city and river from the Fishermen’s Bastion and Gellért Hill.

Day 3: Szentendre
Meet your expert guide and private vehicle for a sightseeing excursion to the preserved Baroque town of Szentendre, a flourishing artist’s community with a profusion of cobbled streets, church spires and colorful Baroque houses. Visit the Margit Kovács Museum which displays many of the artist’s best pieces from fine ceramics to life-size sculptures, and the Blagovestenska Church, a red roccoco masterpiece. Return to your hotel in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. We suggest an excursion to Margitsziget (Margaret Island), a delightful, pedestrian-friendly hideaway complete with flowering gardens, a water tower, a small zoo and romantic walkways.
