Pavones
A bumpy road ends a few kilometers to the south at the village of Pavones. Its beach is known to surfers all over the world for its grandiose waves – some days up to 1,000 meters long.
The best waves, called “tubes” by the experts, develop during the rainy season between April and October. An ideal “long left” offers experienced surfers three minutes of surfing heaven at one stretch. The village of Pavones consists only of a few simple houses, a soccer field, a restuarant, and a few budget hotels.
