The Experience
Visit Rosenborg, a Renaissance castle, and see the Little Mermaid statue. Head to the North Zealand countryside and stop at Kronborg Castle, used by Shakespeare as the setting for Hamlet. Day 1: Copenhagen
On arrival at the Copenhagen airport you are met and taken to your hotel.

Day 2: Copenhagen
Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. Visit Rosenborg, a Renaissance castle built by Christian IV with lovely gardens and see the Little Mermaid, the statue that commemorates Hans Christian Andersen,™s character. Visit Christiansborg Castle, the massive granite castle surrounded on three sides by canals, where the queen officially receives guests. End the morning at Nyhavn, the New Harbor, lined with restaurants and boutiques. This afternoon you are at leisure to explore on your own. You may want to visit Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen,™s best-known attraction. At the southern end of the gardens, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek showcases a large collection of works by Gauguin, Degas and other Impressionists, as well as Danish 19thcentury paintings. There are also antique Greek, Egyptian, Etruscan and Roman sculptures here.

Day 3: Copenhagen/NorthZealand/Copenhagen
Spend a full day sightseeing in the picturesque Danish countryside with your local guide. Stop in the elegant seaside town of Humlebæk to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, renowned for its stunning location and architecture as much as for its collection. Continue to Kronborg Castle, used by William Shakespeare as the setting for Hamlet. You also visit Frederiksborg Castle, which includes a museum of Danish history, before returning to Copenhagen.
