“A former guest from the start of the century recalled the daily evening seven course menu as consisting of: Hors doevre, Soup, Fish course, Joint (main meat course), Desert, Cheese Board and Tea/coffee all of this was followed bu copious wine and whiskey, as beers and stouts were not popular in such settings at the time.
