Rosewood Mansion On Turtle Creek
Considered a Dallas icon by both locals and visitors alike, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is the most celebrated hotel and restaurant in Texas. The Mansion Restaurant is housed within a historic private residence built in 1925 by cotton baron, Sheppard King. The hotel was opened in 1980.
Located in the heart of Dallas’ most fashionable neighborhood, the hotel reflects the intimate ambiance of a private residence. Designed with all the comforts and conveniences of home, there are 127 guest rooms each with at least 450-square feet and 16 suites, including a comfortable living area, bath and vanity. Each room is appointed with the following: 42 ” plasma television, SoundBar with sound system, DVD and docking station, seasonal culinary welcome amenity, bottled water, 100% cotton oversized bed and bath linens; deluxe waffle bathrobes; three telephones, wireless and desktop highspeed internet access; current magazines; and all natural bath, hair and skincare amenites created by Lady Primrose. Other amenities include: hairdryer, vanity with cosmetic lights and full length mirror, AM/FM CD clock radio, in-room safe, mini bar and Lodge Net video.
The five-star Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and includes small, intimate private dining areas, as well as the main dining room with its adjacent enclosed veranda and outdoor terrace. A fireplace at each end of the main dining area and a collection of art and antiques, together with the original wood paneling and carved ceilings and leaded glass windows, add to the residential feeling.
