Day 3: Quebec City – Moncton

Today you will drive from Quebec City to Moncton. The journey will take approximately 7 hours (non stop). Drive along the St Lawrence River going north to the border of New Brunswick. You can choose to visit the city of Fredericton en route (about 1 hour outside of Moncton).

Explore the unique shopping district or visit Magnetic Hill in Moncton. Visits can be made to “Magnetic Hill”, a natural wonder in the area in which your car can be pulled backwards up a small hill seemingly by magnetic forces. You can visit the Magnetic Hill Zoo, the Champlain Place shopping area, relax at Parlee Beach or take in a round of golf at the Royal Oaks Golf Club.

Day 5: Moncton – Charlottetown
Today you will drive from Moncton to Charlottetown. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Depart Moncton and head east towards the coast where you,™ll travel on the Confederation Bridge towards Prince Edward Island (longest bridge in the world crossing iced covered waters.. 8 miles long).

Day 8: Baddeck
Cape Breton Island,™s town Baddeck offers visitors numerous options for half-day or full day excursions. Situated at both the start and end of the Cabot Trail loop, Baddeck is a gateway to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, with its rugged coastline and ocean vistas. The village also houses the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, commemorating in museum-form the legacy of former resident Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone. Harbor cruises are available for anyone wishing to get a different perspective of Cape Breton, while you scan the skies along the coast of the Bras D,™Or Lake for bald eagles. Depart Baddeck at leisure and enjoy a 4 hour drive to the capital of Nova Scotia, Halifax. Drive along the Trans Canada Highway to Truro, before turning south torwards Halifax. Arrival at your hotel in downtown Halifax.

This evening enjoy downtown Halifax. This city is known for it’s vibrant dining scene and lively atmosphere. Take in a delicious meal of fresh seafood or international cuisine. Enjoy one of the many bars and pubs that line the streets for a pint of local beer (Halifax is home to many small breweries, and once was governed by Alexander Keith, who’s brewery is now amongst the most famous in Canada).

Day 10: Halifax – Baddeck
Halifax offers an array of worthwhile activities, both within the city, as well as in the nearby surrounds. From here, one can visit the Titanic Museum, memorializing the great ship lost at sea, and the city,™s ties to rescue efforts. For nautical lovers, the largest maritime museum in the country is located along the Halifax waterfront, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Visit Pier 21 or the Canadian Museum of Immigration, the place where immigrants first came to Canada, visit The alexander Keith Brewwery, the Waterfront district or take a day trip to Luneburg, Mahon Bay and Peggy’s Cove.
