North Shore
The surf on the North Shore can get huge, is very dangerous, and should only be surfed by professionals, or local’s with lots of experience when the surf is big.. Along the North Shore the route passes the world famous surfing beaches of Sunset Beach, Ehukai, the Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay, Waimea Valley and Adventure Park.
The windward side of Oahu is famous for its world class surfing. Every winter season the surf on this side of the island draws professional surfers from all world to enjoy and compete in some of the most spectacular, awesome waves on earth.
When the surf isn’t up there’s still a lot of to do on this side of Oahu.
