Mount Juliet Hotel

In 1989, Mount Juliet, one of the last great historic estates in Europe, opened its doors to welcome guests from all over the world. The elegant 18th Century Georgian Manor House, surrounded by 1,500 acres of lush Irish pastures and rolling woodlands, provides a rare and beautiful setting for a memorable experience. Guests can explore the estate on bicycles or on foot through its many cycling or dedicated walking trails. The Mount Juliet Equestrian Centre offers tuition to all levels of rider, 500 acres of trail riding, cross country jumping and show jumping to riders and will tailor instruction programs to meet the rider’s specific needs. The Clay Target and Archery Academy provides a challenge to marksmen. Salmon and Trout fishing is available on the River Nore which runs through the Estate & Lake Fishing is also available. Tuition and equipment is provided for all sports.

Mount Juliet is also a Golfer’s paradise with our resident PGA Pro, Sean Cotter on hand to give lessons on the Championship Jack Nicklaus signature 18 hole Golf Course. The Course is home to the Carrolls Irish Open in 1993 and Murphy’s Irish Open in 1994 and 1995. The course has also hosted the WGC American Express Championship in 2002 & 2004 which attracted the top 50 players on the World Order of Merit.

Those who prefer to remain indoors can choose between the snooker room or the stylish Leisure Centre and Spa which features a 15m heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and full Beauty Salon.

Mount Juliet House has 31 bedrooms (18 Superior Double or twin: 3 small double; 8 Riverview & 2 Presidential Suites). All rooms have King Beds with bath and bath/shower as well as TV, radio, direct dial telephone, trousers press and security safe. The refined decor of the bedrooms and reception rooms is further heightened by the priceless hand-carved Italian marble Adams fireplaces and the intricate stucco work decorating the walls and ceilings of the main reception rooms. There is the formal Lady Helen McCalmont Dining Room, The Tetrarch Bar and Mr. Jinks Bar as well as the Morning & Major’s Drawing rooms where guests can relax & watch the world go by.

The Club House offers 16 Club Rooms either king double or twin, situated 200 yards from the main house. The newly refurbished rooms and adjacent facilities provide a contrast to the main house with a more modern and relaxed decor. The bright &  airy rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences and are ideal for guests who wish to stay within easy access of the spa or who prefer the relaxed and convivial atmosphere of the Clubhouse and President’s Bar. The Clubhouse rooms are situated on the edge of the golf course and house the swimming pool, health club, spa, golf shop, and President’s Bar and Kendals restaurant. All rooms have bath and shower as well as TV, radio, safe and direct dial telephone. It offers Bar Food in the Conservatory and Presidents Bar. For a more informal dining experience is the contemporary and French style brasserie, Kendals, offering breakfast and dinner using only the finest local artisan produce in its Menus.

The newly renovated Rose Garden Lodges are two-bedroom suites situated next to the Club House, 150 yards from the main house. Newly renovated since 2009, they have been upgraded to exquisite standards & boast stunning views of the Golf Course. Upper level lodges have balconies and ground floor lodges have small patios. Each lodge has two King double/twin ensuite bedrooms with a sitting room, open fireplace, dining room and fully equipped kitchen, TV, radio, and direct dial telephone. Self Catering or Fully Service is available, ideal for Families or groups travelling together. Kids Club available in Summer & at school holidays.
