On arrival at Madrid,™s Barajas Airport, you are met by your Guardian Angel and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to begin exploring on your own.

Day 2: Madrid
Today, your local guide takes you to the Prado Museum, which for many visitors is one of Madrid,™s main attractions. View works by Spain,™s three great masters: Goya, Velázquez and El Greco. From there, continue to the Royal Palace, whose rooms are filled with art treasures and antiques. If you are in Madrid on a Sunday, you may wish to explore El Rastro, the flea market that has everything from upmarket antique shops to shabby-chic treasures. Aficionados of chocolate should consider stopping for a cup of dark, hot chocolate and churros (long, thin doughnuts) perfect for dunking.

Day 3: Madrid/Toledo/Madrid
Head out with your guide to Toledo, a fortified city dating from Roman times. Inhabited successively by the Romans, Visigoths and Arabs, Toledo was conquered by the kings of Castile in 1085. Later, Christians, Muslims and Jews lived in harmony in this timeless city. Visit the Cathedral, a blend of 13th, 14th and 15th century architecture. As you stroll through winding, cobbled streets, stop at the Church of Santo Tomé, housing El Greco,™s famous The Burial of Count Orgaz. Continue your exploration at the city,™s oldest and largest synagogue, the 12th-century Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue.
