The Experience

Cameron House on Loch Lomond

The world-renowned bonnie banks of Loch Lomond conjure images of a majestic world of heather-dappled glens and roaring open fires. What better place to watch the theatre of the Highlands unfold than from Cameron House. Find your true love here. Whether it be fine dining, loch cruises, championship standard golf, spa breaks or simply chilling out with your new favourite 20 year old single malt, Cameron House on Loch Lomond may soon become a true love of yours. It is not just about the timeless splendour. Cameron House is legendary Scottish hospitality at its very finest and very warmest. There will always be someone on hand to impart age-old tales of clansmen or point you in the right direction in choosing the best red to go with your steak. You could say Cameron House is our true love. One day, I sincerely hope it will be yours too.

Accommodations
The highland theatre doesn’t stop at breathtaking scenery. The drama continues as you enter your room. A warm, safe and snug haven from the elements, an elegant blend of contemporary design with a graceful nod to the Loch’s wild and baronial past. Each Classic room features monsoon showers, ipod docking stations, supremely comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton linen, the fluffiest of bathrobes and gorgeous toiletries.

Eating & Drinking
Where for lunch or dinner? Speak to Head Chef Ryan Neil and he’ll be unusually speechless. He won’t be able to choose between The Cameron Grill, The Boat House featuring Seafood from Loch Fyne, The Claret Jug or Wishart’s at Loch Lomond. Instead he’ll suggest you meet in the Great Scots Bar to discuss.

Over a stunningly smooth single malt, our champion of local produce will remind you of the freshest ingredients he can source and the uncompromising selection of wines and whiskeys to compliment your chosen meal. He’ll then point you in the direction of the innovative in restaurant butchery as one of his team prepares a steak for some lucky diner.

Golf
You find yourself by the loch speechless. The only way to describe golf at Cameron House on Loch Lomond. After playing the cheeky ‘Wee Demon’ as a testing warm up the day before, you stand ready to do battle with the Carrick. Nine holes on the high road, nine on the low road. Preparing yourself for an epic journey of stunning greens, majestic highland backdrops, brilliantly peppered with bunkers and of course the world’s most beautiful water hazard – the great loch itself. Take a deep breath of that brisk Highland air and drive. It took a million years to build this and only an afternoon to bring this avid golfer to his knees at it’s glory.

Carrick Spa
Water, water everywhere. You feel nature surround you. Age old rock soothed by torrent and stream of flowing loch. Monumental and tranquil. The drama and the spectacle of the Loch setting is only half the magic of The spa at the Carrick. Scotland’s best hotel spa for two years in a row, The Spa is your hideaway from it all located just a short distance from Cameron House . With 17 dry and wet treatment rooms including a couple’s suite, a breathtaking rooftop terrace with infinity pool, thermal experiences, aromatherapy steam room, holistic studio, gymnasium and pool, this is truly a destination spa set to challenge the world’s finest. We are also proud to announce that Carrick Spa is the winner of The Good Spa Awards 2012 – Scotland.

Leisure Club
Amid a flume of hot mist you exit the sauna and head for the pool, the strains of a full days golf or a week at work leave you behind. The kids wave from the water-slide hell-bent on creating the biggest splash ever as they re-enter the pool. ‘So much for a peaceful swim,’ you think. Mum reclines pool-side engrossed in the latest paparazzi exposé. On the other side of the pool, the pummel and pound of running machines and the clatter on weights can do little to disturb your relaxation. After the third successive soaking you ponder whether you could take to the slide to wreak your own revenge, but think better of it at your age, choosing to cling to the pool’s edge and gaze wistfully at the breathtaking view of the loch before you.

Families
Cameron House is one big happy family. With something for mum and dad, and supervised activities for the kids. In fact you may need to stay longer to discover all it has to offer. Take in the Boat House for great value family dining and relive the fun of the day over pizzas and pasta and fish fingers – and that’s just what mum and dad would order!

Activities
Panic sets in. I have so much to do in one stay. I relax and realise I’ll be back for more another day. Nature has been at play here for millions of years. A weekend of fishing, archery, clay shooting and cruising on the loch should be enough for starters, I muse hurtling down a muddy bank towards the water’s edge. True love awaits the adrenalin junkie and easy going adventurer at Cameron House on Loch Lomond.
