Day 2: Seville
Join your local guide on a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the 15th-century Cathedral, one of the most breathtaking in all of Christendom, and see La Giralda, Seville,™s most famous monument. The Moorish tower was erected as a minaret in the 12th century. Continue to the Alcázar, a magnificent 14th-century Mudéjar palace that is one of the oldest royal residences in Europe still in use. Walk the maze of narrow streets in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, admiring the whitewashed houses, small squares and flower-filled patios. At the Museum of Fine Arts, a former monastery of the Merced order, view important religious works from the Middle Ages and beautiful paintings by Zurbarán, Ribera and Murillo. From there, stop at the Casa de Pilatos, a blend of Spanish Mudéjar and Renaissance architecture that is home to one of Seville,™s great aristocratic families.

Day 3: Seville/Carmona/Seville
Travel outside Seville to the beautiful and unspoiled town of Carmona. Visit its Arab fortress, Renaissance palaces and Roman necropolis before returning to your hotel in Seville. The city is home to flamenco, and you might wish to add a visit to the Tablao El Arenal, located in a 17th-century building, to watch a performance of this traditional dance.
