This morning, meet your local guide for a walking tour of Zagreb, Croatia,™s capital. Your stroll takes you through the loveliest parts of Zagreb to see the National Theatre, Mimara Museum, Academy of Arts and Scientists, palaces and public monuments such as Well of Life by Ivan Mestrovic. Take a funicular to Upper Town, known for the colorful rooftop of St. Marks Church, LotrÅ¡cak Tower, Stone Gate and the gas street lamps that have to be lit by hand. Visit Kaptol, the ecclesiastical district that is still mostly dominated by the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. End your morning with a well-deserved treat in the pastry shop Vincek, or with coffee on one of the terraces in vivacious Tkalciceva Street. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: Plitvice Lakes National Park
Witness the beauty of Croatia,™s countryside when you travel to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Often described as one of the greatest natural wonders of Eastern Europe, this spectacular scenic region is made up of five miles of shimmering turquoise lakes and cascading waterfalls linked by emerald forests and meadows of wild flowers. Join an expert local guide for an excursion by electric boat and electric train. Enjoy lunch on your own before returning to Zagreb.
